Lankan tourism sector spellbound by Singapore expert

Last week’s presentation by Singaporean expert Nisha Barkathunnisha kept the Lankan tourism industry spellbound as she drew some of the best practices of the city state’s success of drawing over 15 million tourists and earning $ 23 billion as well as suggested ways by which the post-war island nation too can be a success. The thought-provoking and interactive evening forum was organised by the Daily FT in partnership with Viluxur Holidays, with the support of several partners such as Reefs Edge, Harpo’s Cafés and Restaurants, Hilton Colombo Residences, BBDO and Event Productions and drew around 200 personnel from the tourism industry.
