Tourist arrivals to the island nation exceeded 122,000 in September, according to provisional data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). A total of 122,140 tourists visited the country during the month, bringing the total arrivals for the year to 1,484,808. India continues to be the largest source of tourists, accounting for 22.8% of the arrivals in September. China followed in second place, contributing 7.4%, while the UK ranked third with 7.1% of the total arrivals.
