Sri Lanka is participating in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) inaugurated at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) Dubai on Monday.
The international event held on 1 to 4 May 2023 is one of the foremost travel and tourism summits in the world, in which many frontline tourism and travel agencies take part. Over 2,000 participants from the global travel community will come together for four days of exhibits, discussions, and networking.
Sri Lanka’s Minister of Tourism and Lands, Harin Fernando hosted a special press conference and journalists representing many foreign media participated.
Udaya Indraratne, Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Panduka Keerthinanda, the chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Advisory Board, Dimuthu Tennakoon representing SriLankan Airlines, along with Padma Siriwardena, Director General, and Directors Dushan Wickramasinghe and Nalin Jayasundera of Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau took part in this event.
The Government of Sri Lanka will also sign an agreement today (03rd May) with Emirates Airlines with regard to future travel by air, the Minister said.
