The newly opened Suriya Luxury Resort Waikkal, has been awarded with TripAdvisor certificate recently.

Suriya Luxury Resort, Waikkal, which was opened late, last year has made a strong positive impact in both the local and foreign wedding market.Built overlooking blue waters of the Indian ocean and surrounded by the Ging Oya, the resort has six water bungalows and 56 keys out of which 42 are deluxe rooms and rest 14 suites. Another unique feature is that the gym and pub restaurant too being constructed on water.

“The main reason for this is the picturesque location where both the sea and the river meet. Due to this we also have many wedding couples using Suriya Luxury Resort, Waikkal, as a location for their wedding photography. In addition we have received numerous requests to have a large wedding hall which is a void for the area,” Chairman, Suriya Luxury Resorts (Pvt) Ltd, Eric Suriyasena said.

The hotel due to demands of travel agents, have also build 14 large (63 Square meters) luxury suites with the best sea and lagoon view to service the up market clientele and a special three storeyed building. In addition hotel also offers 42 deluxe rooms in three floors.
