The day prior and the Sinhala and Tamil New Year will fall on April 12 and 13 next year.
This is as per the list of public and bank holidays in 2020 issued by the Ministry of Internal & Home Affairs.
The gazette notification declaring those holidays has been issued by Minister Vajira Abeywardena recently.
Accordingly there will be 26 public and bank holidays next year as follows;
