The Restaurant at Havelock Place Bungalow is open everyday from 7.30am to 10pm and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as snacks, homemade ice creams and sorbets. From their mouth watering coconut and crab risotto which is their signature dish to the calamari- avocado salad to spicy peanut chicken or the slow baked lemon tart with vanilla ice cream, the black board menu changes regularly.
For breakfast there is a choice between the Bungalow breakfast, city breakfast, pan cakes, waffles or Sri Lankan breakfast.
The owner who has a passion for food and loves experimenting with ingredients, creates original and unusual menus using local produce. The food is homemade from the bread, to the jams and marmalades, ice creams and sorbets. Their ice cream and sorbet menu is a favourite and has a variety of options such as chocolate double mint, honey comb, cardamom, and honey, coffee arrack everything that is creative and honest .
A must have are their homemade jams and marmalades which are bursting with flavour. Their unique creations such as the Whiskey Marmalade and Three fruit Marmalade or the delicious jams; Pumpkin Butter and Tomato Chutney are all available for sale as well and a hot favourite among local expats.
Whether it’s the Garden Cafe or inside Dining Area, guests can choose from a menu that has an excellent selection of fusion cuisine that blends the best of Italian and Asian to suit your gastronomic taste.
The Garden Cafe which is a favourite among customers is nestled among thick foliage with trees, birds and butterflies as your perfect company.
The Bungalow also accommodates sit down dinners for 25 people.
