Sri Lanka surpassed the 100,000 mark in tourist arrivals for the month of May 2024. According to provisional data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), a total of 108,665 tourists visited the island nation in May, bringing the total number of arrivals from January to May 2024 to 893,316.
India leads as the top source of tourists, contributing 31,225 visitors in May. This is followed by the Maldives with 7,984 tourists, the United Kingdom with 7,844, and Germany with 7,374 arrivals.
