The Wildlife Conservation Department launched an online E-Ticketing system for Yala National Park with the intention of issuing tickets for the convenience of the local communities and international tourists as well as to minimize the rush at the main gate of Yala National Park.

The E-Ticketing system launched will be extended to other National parks such as Wilpattu and Lunugamwehera to promote tourism in the country. Anyone can log in to the Wildlife Conservation website and fill the short form to get a printed ticket. Payment facilities could be done through the website. Once the payment is done, the visitor can print the ticket and be at the Yala National Park main gate at the correct time and date as printed on the E-Ticket.

The Department will be looking into various management procedures to manage the crowds in National Parks after launching the system.
