Swedish Master Chef Carola Magnusson arrived in Colombo ahead of the Smörgåsbord Evenings, to be held at Cinnamon Lakeside from 16 to 19 October at the hotel’s floating restaurant, 8 Degrees on the Lake. Chef Carola has been especially flown in by the event’s travel partner, Qatar Airways.

Smörgåsbord Evenings at Cinnamon Lakeside will offer Colombo’s discerning diners the opportunity to enjoy a novel culinary experience, featuring a range of seafood, meats, cheeses, etc. paired with a range of wines in line with the Scandinavian smörgåsbord experience. In addition, the gourmet affair will be complemented by live musical entertainment by the Ukranian singing duo Daria & Maria.
Priced at Rs. 6,500 nett per person, these unique evenings will take place at Cinnamon Lakeside’s floating restaurant, 8 Degrees on the Lake, which will set sail across the Beira lake during the event. For reservations, call 011 249 1016.

When Chef Carola started her business in 1997, a new foundation was laid where food made from pure raw materials was the focus instead of, as before, whole and semi-finished products. Chef Carola offers lectures and training courses with theory and practice in ecology and cooking.
