Villa Thawthisa, Boutique Hotel in Unawatuna, will be building more eco bungalows to offer variety to the hotel portfolio.

Hotel Thawthisa Group, Unawatuna, Managing Director, Nimal Geeganage said that their hotel is if three star plus quality with modern equipment, luxury interior, exclusive materials and own home entertainment system. “We already have two Eco Villas and there is a demand for more and this is the reason we decided to build more Eco Bungalows.”

The hotel was build according to my design from the experience I gained travelling all over the world. “The group currently has two restaurants in the Unawatna beach and we initially built this hotel as our holiday home.

Subsequently a friend request our home for a group of foreign tourists and their positive comments made me convert this home to Villa Thawthisa, Boutique Hotel in Unawatuna.

Later we introduced another 19 Villas some with bath tub and own Jacuzzi to make it a 23 room property. In this new wing we added another large swimming pool, large roof top restaurant and a roof terrace to provide a fine panoramic view of the Unawatuna Beach. The group invested around Rs. 600 million for this.

He said that the hotel is situated in the historic and beautiful famous Rumasala Mountain and its quite surroundings is a perfect getaway to experience relaxation, privacy and the phenomenal sound of the Nature. “Due to this Villa Thawthisa is a honeymooner’s paradise and also makes it an ideal location for a quite holiday.”

Tea Coffe making facilities, Laundry service, 24 hours room service and a private Butler Service are available to provide more luxury. The Hotel also offers a free shuttle service to their nearby Beach Club and offers free sun beds, in the Unavatuna beach.

The group is also planning to build a holiday home cum apartment complex in Unawatuna with an investment of around Rs 3 billion with a foreign partner.
