Windsor Park, Hingurakgoda, the Agri resort own and operated by CIC Agri Businesses Private Limited, is looking to add more luxury Villas to strengthen their MICE segment. The Resort’s conference hall which could accommodate 70 guests, with air conditioning, modern lighting, clip on microphones and several other facilities is gaining in popularity.

With additional accommodation the resort could attract more corporate guests, a spokesman from CIC Agri Businesses said.

Windsor Park Hingurakgoda first of its kind in Sri Lanka currently offers 8 luxury and standard cabanas that could accommodate around 30 guests. The Cabanas offer two to three bed rooms each and are air conditioned, offers hot and cold water, cable TV, Flat screen TV, tea coffee making facilities and many other facilities.

The Windsor Park to date has the second biggest Banquet hall in the area to accommodate 200 guests and is a popular venue to host weddings and special events. “We organize all arrangements for weddings and this drawing more clients to our venue.”

CIC Seed production Farm, the biggest in Sri Lanka, is located in the same farm land offers free Farm educational tour on a specially made bus mounted on a trailer. The total extent of the farm is 1300 acres.

The Windsor Park’s restaurant offers buffet for the guests and also has a bar stocked with local and foreign liquor. It also offers fresh juices made out of their farm fruits. The hotel has two swimming pools, including a kiddie’s pool, a special area for Kids, sports facelifts and special Barbeque and Theme nights on request.

The Resort also organizers day excursions to Somawathiya Temple, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and even arranges jeep Safaris to Minneriya Park.

Kamal Abanpitiya, Manager of the hotel for almost decade said that the hotel is also patronage by tourist and study groups mainly study agriculture. “Our Web also attracts high end tourists and we have special pick up facilities from the airport and Hingurakgoda Railway Station for them.”
