New boutique hotel Camellia Hills joins The Sri Lanka Collection

The Sri Lanka Collection announced yesterday that Camellia Hills near Dickoya, a newly-built five-bedroom boutique hotel in Sri Lanka’s emerald tea country will be a part of it. This high-end boutique hotel in Sri Lanka is managed by Teardrop Hotels and is a sister property to award-winning hotels The Wallawwa and Fort Bazaar and recently launched Kumu Beach.

Camellia Hills is located near Dickoya and Hatton in the south western hill country, high up on the side of a verdant valley overlooking Castlereagh Reservoir and surrounded by emerald green tea estates, the hotel’s ample gardens, living and dining areas and five individually designed guest rooms all offering stunning panoramas. This is a contemporary interpretation of a tea bungalow-style hotel, offering a high-end personalised butler service, exceptional food and all-inclusive rates (includes three meals, snacks, high tea and drinks).

Air Taxis land on the reservoir. Colombo is a 4.5-hour (131 km) drive away and the Bandaranaike International Airport is 121-kilometres away. Nuwara Eliya is a two-hour drive away and it is possible to visit it on a day trip while Adam’s Peak, the island’s most sacred mountain and pilgrimage spot, is an hour’s drive away (and easy to visit from the hotel).
