Singapore Airlines has announced it will increase flight frequency to Sri Lanka from three times to five times weekly from 1 May, operating the Airbus 350-900MH aircraft.
“Singapore Airlines has continued to adjust its global network capacity to meet passengers’ needs. With this increase in frequency, over 50% of SIA capacity into Sri Lanka will be resumed,” the airline said in a statement.
It said flights from Singapore to Colombo will operate on every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday whilst flights from Colombo to Singapore will be on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
All passengers on board will receive a ‘SIA Care Kit,’ which includes a face mask, hand sanitiser and disinfectant surface wipe whilst an anti-bacterial wipe will be provided at meal service.
For a contactless journey, all passengers are encouraged to use the SingaporeAir mobile app, which offers greater travel convenience from booking to boarding and beyond. Passengers can also use the app to remotely control the KrisFlyer inflight entertainment system onboard and gain access to an e-library with over 150 publications.
