SriLankan Airlines’ cargo flights continue to operate although commercial passenger flights have not yet commenced in Sri Lanka.
The airline will operate cargo operations to 21 major markets in 16 countries.
It includes destinations in England, Germany, Italy, Japan, China, Hong Kong, as well as the Middle East and India.
Last year, 65 million kilograms of cargo was transported, and more than 28 million kilograms of air cargo was transported by the end of November this year, when SriLankan Airlines – Cargo Freight Operations was affected by the global Covid 19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) recently announced that the Sri Lankan airport will be open for flights without a fixed schedule from the 26th of this month.
