Aitken Spence Travels recently welcomed a group of 24 Indian (Gujarat) travel influencers and bloggers who are currently on a familiarization tour to Sri Lanka.

These influencers who work with Aitken Spence Travels will be getting a firsthand experience of the diversity Sri Lanka has to offer. Sri Lanka tourism targets to attract more Indian visitors in the coming year and taking the lead for the same, Aitken Spence Travels considers this familiarization tour is a golden opportunity to boost the bilateral connections and fellowship between the two countries.

The influencers and bloggers would be visiting Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Bentota & Colombo, personally enjoying the Sri Lankan hospitality and basking on the goodness of the paradise island in the Indian ocean.

In witnessing the heritage of Sri Lanka, they would be visiting the ancient Kandyan legacy engraved around its crown jewel, the temple of the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Followed by the scenic train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, one of the favourite retreats of the British during colonial times, the influencers would experience a panoramic city walk.

Straight from hill country to sandy beaches, the visitors will then be taken on a journey to cover the southern coastal belt, starting from Bentota, all the way up to Galle. En route, they would visit the Kosgoda Turtle Conservation Center, enjoy a boat ride in the scenic Madu River, and visit Galle Fort. The final stop would be Colombo town, allowing them to enjoy a shopping tour and a Colombo city visit.

According to the statistics of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, India, which recorded 120,304 (17%) arrivals out of the total of 705,385 visitors to Sri Lanka from January to December 2022, remains the top target market for Sri Lanka tourism. As the foremost destination management company in Sri Lanka, Aitken Spence Travels strives to promote the safe and culture-rich destination of Sri Lanka among the rest of the world.
