The Kingsbury was awarded the best hotel with an A+ grade at the City Food Safety High Achievers Awards Ceremony organised by the Colombo Municipal Council and held recently.
The Kingsbury won this award under criteria based on the management’s commitment, continuous improvement of process development, cleanliness, food preparation, storage and display, infrastructure and working environment, personal hygiene amongst others. The award was presented by Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa, who was the chief guest of the ceremony.
The Kingsbury’s Executive Chef, Kithsiri de Silva accepted the award, who continuously contributes to the professional and good food hygiene and sanitation standards maintained at the hotel.
“We are proud to have been awarded at the highest level of Food Safety and Hygiene, which demonstrates our commitment for consistently maintaining international standards,” said Sunil Dissanayake, Director/General Manager of The Kingsbury.
